About
My name is Katie and I’m a twenty something New Yorker ( in particular, a Long Islander). I’ve got a passion for art, food, books and anything cultural; I possess an insatiable appetite.
Right now I’m commuting into NYC five days a week for interning and working at 2 Manhattan museums. I have to figure out how I can still maintain all my interests while giving up approximately 3 hours of my day to the train, plus my eight hour work days.
I’ll be cooking, trying to make healthy food that fits into my time constraint as well as what I’m going to be considering cooking splurges, when I can cook or bake for fun.
I’ll be painting.
I’ll be exercising.
I’ll be hanging out with friends, who also are adjusting to living in the professional world.
Just because we’re short on time doesn’t mean that we’re going to stop doing what we love.

Glad you commented on my blog, as it led me to yours! We seem to have pretty parallel philosophies on all things food and culture, so I’m excited to read more!
Yay, I’m glad you like it! I started reading yours about 2 weeks ago but can’t remember where I found the link.So I decided to just jump right in and comment without any introduction.
Just found your blog. I love it. I too love art, museums etc. Looking forward to reading more.
Hey Katie,
I wanted to thank you for the blog post you did on the Museum of the City of New York, it was great! I am the Marketing and Communications Associate for the Museum and we are so pleased to see people blogging about the website. I wanted to let you know about our Speakeasy every Wednesday night starting June 30th. The Wednesday speakeasy nights will feature dancing and DJs playing music from the 1920s-era. The $15 admission will include a cocktail drink ticket and allow entrance to all the museum exhibitions, which will remain open. It is from 6-9PM and I’d love for you to come and let me know what you think!
Please feel free to email me at egoldberger@mcny.org.

Thanks for the nice comment about my photos
I LOVE your blog! Such a good idea to combine food + art. I was an art history major in college this is right up my alley (and actually worked at an art museum in DC after I graduated). I just added you to my Google Reader. Can’t wait to read more!

It’s your fellow classmate Susan Chan from South High! How are you?!
I came across your blog today and absolutely loved it! My fav were your food posts since I’m a huge foodie myself. Loved your recipes and photos as well.
Anyways…keep up the good work! Can’t wait to read more.
